Based on the theme of the exhibition Vidas em Cordel, the Museu Vale, in partnership with the Museu da Pessoa, will hold the course Literatura de Cordel: Do Sertão à Sala de Aula, aimed at education professionals. The activity will be led by the poet Marco Haurélio, with the aim of presenting possibilities for using cordel literature in school contexts and educational spaces.

The workshop is in-person, free of charge and will take place on May 21, from 9 am to 11:30 am, in the Sala Educativo Museu Vale, in the Parque Botânico Vale, in Jardim Camburi. Registration is open until noon on May 20. The following topics will be addressed on the occasion:

• Cordel: the enchanted poetry of the Northeast
• Cordel and fairy tales
• Popular woodcuts in Cordel Literature
• From idea to story: the step-by-step process for creating a cordel
• Cordel literature and education
