[LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Month | MUSEU VALE]
On June 28th, Museu Vale kicks off its LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Month program with the launch of the expanded edition of Babado Forte, featuring author Erika Palomino.
The lecture features Lufe Steffen, Kill Bill, and Mother Matysha Bonekety in a conversation about the book and the creation and transformation of unique aspects of the Brazilian underground scene, such as drag and ballroom culture, the mandraka and de cria aesthetics, and street parties, which echo a unique socio-musical world.
Erika Palomino is a journalist, curator, and creative director, a leading figure in youth culture and its manifestations. She worked at Folha de S.Paulo for 17 years and worked in cultural management at the São Paulo Cultural Center and the MAM-RJ.
*Babado Forte is a production by the Centro Cultural Vale Maranhão and Ubu Editora, sponsored by Vale and the Vale Cultural Institute.
