Routes and Detours is a pedagogical research laboratory inspired by the thinking of artist, translator, researcher, and curator Tiganá Santana on language as body, memory, cosmology, and resistance. The workshop, led by art educator Gleyce Kelly Heitor, proposes a dialogue about the journeys that brought African languages ​​to Brazil, and the detours that ensured their permanence despite colonial attempts at erasure, to conceive a set of activities that have as their premise education as an experience of creation and research.
