Educational Program

We believe in the transformative power of art in direct dialogue with education. The Museu Vale Educational Core, in addition to the Art in the City Project, develops off-site activities in spaces within the Greater Vitória area and at the Vale Botanical Park.

All the initiatives we hold are free and open to the general public.

The Apprentice Program

Since its establishment, Museu Vale has embedded in its vision and mission the tool of shaping citizenship. We believe in art and education as collaborative forces for bringing about positive changes in people’s lives, particularly in the lives of young people and children. Thus, in 2005, within this context, the Apprentice Program was established.  

The program is aimed at the education of young high school students aged between 16 and 18, residing in communities in the Greater Vitória Region. The selected participants take part in a theoretical-practical course that covers topics related to setting up an art exhibition, guiding and qualifying them for this specific job market focused on museums, galleries, and art centers. These young participants, after a training period and during the process of setting up art exhibitions, work alongside a team of professionals, such as carpenters, painters, lighting technicians, and installers.

The Apprentice Program provides each participant with a certificate bearing Museu Vale and SENAC seals. The program has thus far benefited 130 young individuals from communities in the Greater Vitória Region.
