Cruz Credo is an Afro-contemporary dance performance by Coletivo Emaranhado, a solo performance by artist Ricardo Reis. The project uses contemporary art and stage expression as an appropriation of possibilities to instigate what underlies the constitution of the Brazilian social present.
Synopsis: It is about the transgressor, the requests made to the gira in the dead of night, on the street corner, at the crossroads or while the skirt of the sacred prostitute is twirling. It is about Iyá, the mother, Maria, Maria Padilha, Maria da Noite, Maria Bonita, Maria Navalha, the imminent contemporary urgencies, the transversalities that permeate non-binary bodies. Cruz credo, margin, center, crossroads.
