During the 23rd National Museum Week, the Museu Vale Extramuros continues the reflections that guide its annual program, focused on the future of museums, their presence in the territories and the relationship with communities and the various audiences in the vicinity. In addition to the actions carried out in the Parque Botânico Vale, the current headquarters of the Educational Center, the program proposes a cultural exchange with the Centro Cultural Eliziário Rangel, located in Serra, and with FAFI — Escola Técnica Municipal de Teatro, Dança e Música of the Vitória city.

The workshop Corpo em Cena proposes an immersion in the creative process of the video art SapiensCiborg, a work by Paulo Fernandes presented in the exhibition Transitar o Tempo, at Museu Vale. The activity investigates the relationships between the Afro-diasporic body and the technologies that shape the contemporary world, such as prosthetics, sensors and software. Using videos, photos and bodily experiences, the workshop discusses the body as language.

Reviving the History of Congo workshop with Art in Education with Alcemi Ferreira Cardoso

The activity shares cultural values and traditions of the Congo from the Roda d’Água region, in Cariacica. The proposal includes historical rescue actions, mask workshops, practice with instruments, in addition to the explanation of the structure of the bands, the functions of the members and the main fundamentals of the Congo, such as rhythm, repique, voice intonation and dance steps.
